Trauma-Related Injuries – When blunt force strikes, your eye compresses and retracts, causing blood to gather underneath the damaged area. This often causes swelling and discoloration.


Graves Disease – Also known as thyroid eye disease, Graves disease is an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation of your eye. It relates to a thyroid problem.


Eye Cancer – This on the other hand, is a rare cause for eye puffiness but is still possible. This condition isn’t treatable with your usual medication, and is already a case for a hospital visit.

When you have no time to try the remedies above since you have a busy schedule, don't worry, you can still reduce puffiness through cold water.


Simply rinse your face with several splashes of cold water. This will result in the constriction of your blood vessels and reduce swelling.


Plus, you can repeat this remedy several times in a day, without harming your body.
